World Teachers' Day

World Teachers' Day: something from the whole class

On 5 October the teacher stands in the middle for once. Let everyone in the class write their own line, and turn it into one thing that stays up. Free to make.

Free to write and free to share. No account needed.

World Teachers' Day falls on Monday 5 October 2026.

Thirty cards, or one thing with thirty lines on it

A class usually hands over thirty separate drawings, and a week later they are in a drawer. A canvas or a poster with every child's words on it is a different thing: that goes on the classroom wall, and it is still there the year after. Everyone writes their own line, you put them together.

It could sound like this

Frequently asked questions

When is World Teachers' Day?

5 October, every year. In 2026 that is a Monday. Start at least two weeks ahead if you want to give something printed together, because a board needs time to collect the whole class's lines.

Can the whole class write in it?

Yes. Start a board for the class and share the link with the other parents. Everyone writes their own line, and afterwards it becomes one card, poster or canvas.

What do you give a teacher that isn't another mug?

Something with words on it that are only about this teacher. A mug is fine, as long as the line on it is one nobody else could have written.

Do I need an account?

No. Making and sharing is free and works without an account.
